Day 2 of Gratitude Documented 2023 – Scripture & Theme
Today’s scripture is Proverbs 17:22 which reads, “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” This powerful scripture reminds us of the importance of cultivating a joyful and grateful heart. We do this by spending time with God and in His Word. When we choose to focus on our blessings rather than dwelling on negativity, we experience a renewed sense of hope and happiness.
Documenting My Gratitude – Why It Matters?
One of the most effective ways to cultivate gratitude is through documenting our blessings. By recording and reflecting on the things we are thankful for, we create a tangible reminder of the goodness in our lives. This process not only helps us recognize and appreciate the blessings already present but also encourages us to seek out new reasons for gratitude.

Today’s page was created with a cute little heart drawing my granddaughter made for me. I used her drawing as the little tuck place for my card. I didn’t add anything to her drawing but only attached it to my book with a silver brad.
For my card with the scripture tag and my thoughts, I used pieces from the kit. I added the tag with a brad and then embellished it with embroidery thread and kit pieces. It was a simple process today as I didn’t want to take away from the beauty of the drawing.
As I stated before each day will include the scripture tag and my thoughts on the front and my prayer on the back. I also included the thankful-for card again today. These three things will be consistent throughout Gratitude Documented 2023. In the below image, you can see my card and how it turned out.
